With the release of GTA 6 (Grand Theft Auto VI) fast approaching, the Rockstar Games fan community is on the lookout for any new developments. And the latest discovery suggests that the way we consume content in the game could be in for some major changes.
You can check out the latest news on GTA 6 in this video from our partner SanInPlay:
This time, Portal Viciados reader Marcio Fortuna discovered new job postings at the company’s headquarters in New York that include very specific terms in the description, raising suspicions about GTA 6’s monetization model and future online mode.
The posted job listings detail that GTA 6 could become a true Live Services title, indicating that the developer is preparing its infrastructure to manage a very robust game-as-a-service model.
Are DLCs and season passes on the way for GTA 6?

The strongest clue comes from the job posting for Operations Manager, Commerce. The position requires the professional to help prepare and manage digital stores (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Epic Games) during product launches.
The detail that caught our attention the most in our analysis is the exact description of the position’s responsibilities:
- "Set up all digital products (Base Games, DLCs, Season Passes) on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Epic."
GTA 5 never received the much-anticipated story expansions, and GTA Online has followed the path of free content updates combined with the GTA+subscription service.
The direct mention of "Season Passes" suggests that Rockstar may adopt this system—so popular in the industry today—for the next Grand Theft Auto, or perhaps change how it distributes and charges for expansions in the future.
Heavy focus on monetization and live services

The second job opening is for a Senior Growth Marketing Manager (Live Services).
The new employee will be tasked with scaling revenue, delivering measurable gains in engagement and monetization, and driving "millions of players."
This demonstrates Rockstar’s commitment to maintaining an extremely robust and profitable live service ecosystem in the coming years, something that will be fundamental to the life of GTA 6 Online.

Although the job descriptions are standardized and do not mention the name Grand Theft Auto VI directly, the timing of these hires coincides precisely with the polishing and market preparation phase for the late 2026 launch.
