Rockstar Games is known for having very strict NDA policies, which is why it’s extremely rare to see an employee expressing personal opinions about GTA 6 (Grand Theft Auto VI) on social media.

The target of the controversy was renowned Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier, known for having revealed Rockstar Games’ plans for GTA 6 on several occasions.
Qual o seu protagonista favorito do GTA 6?
It all started when an account on X (formerly Twitter) posted that they were waiting for Schreier to bring good news about GTA 6. Surprisingly, Saikat Kolay, Rockstar’s Lead Character Artist, responded to the post with a rather hostile message:
"No. We don't want him snooping around our company and our project."
The message quickly went viral, being picked up by accounts focused on franchise news, such as GTA 6 Countdown and insider Ben (@videotech_).

As expected, the impulsive move had immediate consequences. Aware of Rockstar’s zero-tolerance policy for unauthorized interactions on behalf of the company, the developer not only deleted the tweet a few hours later but also completely deactivated his social media account.
According to analyses by community members, such as insider Ben, it is very likely that the artist will face internal disciplinary measures for breaking the studio’s communication protocol, although many fans are hoping he doesn’t lose his job over a simple outburst.
The source of the controversy: The leak of GTA 6 Trailer 1

For those who don’t remember, Rockstar’s internal beef with Jason Schreier has a very clear reason. In November 2023, the journalist leaked information that the company would announce the first GTA 6 trailer ahead of schedule.
The leak angered the developer’s leadership so much that reports at the time claimed Sam Houser (Rockstar’s President) considered delaying the official announcement by a week just to counter Schreier’s report.
