After we reported that the Spanish retailer Wakkap had listed a native disc version of Red Dead Redemption 1 for the PlayStation 5, a second major European retailer has just confirmed the product’s existence.
And the best part: the release date matches the previous leak perfectly.

Follower @KoenWillen discovered that the Dutch retail giant bol.com has also opened a pre-order page for Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 1.
Qual o seu protagonista favorito do GTA 6?
- Confirmed date: Just like in the Spanish leak, the Dutch store lists the official release date as May 7, 2026. Two major retailers pointing to the same date practically confirms the release for early next month.
- The price mystery: The detail that caught attention in the new listing was the price. While Wakkap listed the game for €32.90, bol.com put the title up for pre-order at €49.99.
- This difference suggests that €50 may be Rockstar’s official list price (MSRP), while the Spanish store is already applying an aggressive pre-order discount.
For those who missed the original news, the arrival of this native PS5 disc marks the end of a headache for collectors who wanted Red Dead Redemption 1. Currently, to get the physical game on the new generation, you had to buy the PS4 disc and perform the free digital upgrade.

The new disc version delivers the complete experience right out of the box, including John Marston’s campaign and the Undead Nightmare expansion.
As we noted in our technical review last year (where the game received a score of 8), the title runs at a glorious 4K resolution and a locked 60 FPS, featuring improved textures, shadows, and HDR support.
