Is GTA 6 coming to yet another platform? Rockstar Games has posted a new job opening for a Quality Assurance Analyst in Edinburgh, and the technical requirements may hint at a version of Grand Theft Auto VI for yet another platform.
Unlike positions focused on consoles, this role requires skills that are fundamental to PC development, where the variety of hardware is immense.
GTA 6 on PC?

Similarly, upon reviewing Rockstar Games’ career site, the Portal Viciados team noticed that the job posting explicitly mentions “Familiarity with performance testing and optimization of PC games.”
Qual o seu protagonista favorito do GTA 6?
The most notable points are:
- Familiarity with PC benchmarking: The candidate must know how to measure the game’s performance across different hardware configurations.
- Performance tuning: Essential to ensure the game runs on graphics cards of various generations and brands (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel).
- Hardware knowledge: The job posting requires a deep understanding of the interaction between game systems and current PC components.
Historically, Rockstar Games typically releases PC versions about a year after the console launch. This was the case with GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

However, the posting of a Technical QA position focused on PC performance at this stage (March 2026) suggests that development of the PC version may be occurring in parallel, aiming to reduce players’ wait time or ensure a more polished launch than previous ones.

Although the Rockstar North job posting does not mention GTA 6, the proximity to the console release suggests that the focus is on the PC version of the new game, but if that is not the case, the technical reinforcement may indicate the development of a possible GTA 4 remaster or another project not yet announced.
