Until recently, names like Tom Henderson were betting that we wouldn’t see anything new until August. However, the narrative has shifted. On the latest Insider Gaming podcast, Henderson admitted that news could emerge even before the American summer (June).
The reason is May 14, the date of Take-Two Interactive’s shareholder conference. Historically, Rockstar loves to “set the stage” or give investors a treat by releasing epic trailers days before these meetings.
Rockstar Games’ pattern that could lead to GTA 6 news
It’s no coincidence. If we look at the company’s history, April and May are Rockstar Games’ favorite months—GTA 4, GTA 5, and Red Dead Redemption 2 all had trailers released during these months.
Recently, information emerged that Rockstar Games has opened new positions for Game Testers, with a start date scheduled for April 18. For those who don’t know, this type of mass hiring usually happens in the final stage of development.
If the goal is to release Grand Theft Auto VI in November, testing and polishing need to start now. With the game entering its final phase, the marketing campaign promised by Strauss Zelnick should take over the world soon.
