Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, took advantage of an event to directly counter comments made by Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and owner of X (formerly Twitter), regarding the future of GTA 6 (Grand Theft Auto VI).

It all started in January, when Musk agreed with a social media post claiming there was a chance that AI could “generate its own GTA 6 in a few minutes” even before Rockstar released the official game.

Musk went further and declared: "You won't even have to ask. The AI will figure out which video game you like best."
Strauss Zelnick’s response

During the Semafor World Economy Conference, Zelnick was asked about Musk’s statements.
"Musk has unlimited financial resources, unlimited human resources, and, apparently, an unlimited number of ideas. He also understands AI. And he also works 20 hours a day. If AI were to take someone’s job, wouldn’t it be his?"
Zelnick questioned the logic that technology would take over work so easily: "As the richest guy on Earth, shouldn’t that be the number one job for AI to take over? Why is he so busy? And, by the way, why am I working harder than ever, despite the fact that I’ve fully embraced AI in every part of my life?"
AI won’t make GTA 6

For the owner of Rockstar, Artificial Intelligence is a useful tool to assist with certain day-to-day tasks and processes, but it isn’t revolutionizing things to the point of replacing massive amounts of work.
According to Zelnick, the idea that generative AI could magically create or even simplify the intense amount of work and human talent required to build a masterpiece on the scale of GTA 6 is simply ridiculous.
